Our family, your family.
Alderpoint Preparatory began with a simple belief: kindergarten should feel like home, and childhood is something to celebrate, not rush.
A home-like place to grow up in.
We opened our doors on Alderpoint Road with three classrooms, a garden full of digging patches, and a team of educators who treat every child like their own. Ten years later the garden is bigger, the team is larger — and the feeling is exactly the same.
Every room is built for small hands and big imaginations: reading corners with worn-in cushions, art tables that are never quite clean, and quiet nooks for the days when a cuddle matters more than a curriculum.
- Maximum 1:6 educator-to-child ratio in every room
- Secure entry, CCTV in shared spaces, and vetted staff
- Fresh meals cooked on site every morning
- Daily photo updates so you never miss a moment

Why families stay with us.
Home-like Environment
Soft lighting, familiar routines, and a key educator who knows exactly how your child likes their toast. New starters settle in days, not months.
Safety and Security
Password-protected pickups, secure garden gates, paediatric first-aid training for every adult on site — safety is the quiet foundation of everything we do.
Quality Educators
Qualified early-years teachers supported by ongoing training, forest-school leaders, and a speech-and-language link worker who visits weekly.

Play to learn, learn to play.
Children learn best with their hands in something squishy. Our days balance child-led play with gentle guided sessions — phonics through songs, maths through baking, and science through the mud kitchen.
By the time our preschoolers leave for primary school, they can do something far more important than recite facts: they can make friends, manage feelings, and ask brilliant questions.
